Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Verith — the website, job tracker, and Company Insights community (together, the "Service"), operated by Verith ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Verith

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Don't create an account for anyone but yourself, and don't impersonate someone else or misrepresent your employment history when submitting a review, salary report, or interview report.

2. What Verith is for

Verith is a candidate-first hiring platform: a personal job application tracker plus a community-sourced "Company Insights" section where candidates, current employees, and former employees can anonymously share real reviews, pay & benefits reports, and interview experiences to help other job seekers make informed decisions.

3. Anonymous submissions — how it actually works

This is the part that matters most, so we're being direct about it:

• Reviews, interview reports, and pay reports are anonymous to the public. Your name is never shown alongside anything you submit to Company Insights.
• We are not able to guarantee anonymity in every circumstance. A submission paired with enough specific detail (an unusual job title, a small team, a rare location) could theoretically let someone narrow down who wrote it. We deliberately avoid collecting or showing your personal location, exact submission timing where it isn't necessary, and any field that would make de-anonymization easier — but no platform can promise anonymity is unbreakable, and neither can we.
• Submissions go through moderation before they're public. A real person reviews new reviews and interview reports before they go live — to check for anything that could identify you or violate our guidelines, not to soften what you actually said. Pay & benefits reports currently publish immediately since they're fully structured data with no free text.
• What you submit must be true. Every submission must reflect your own honest, personal experience. Don't submit anything you know to be false or misleading, and don't submit a former employer's confidential information or trade secrets.

4. Content you submit

You own what you write. By submitting a review, report, or any other content to Verith, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the Service (and in aggregate, de-identified form for things like company-level statistics), for as long as the content remains on Verith. If your submission is rejected during moderation or you later delete your account, we stop displaying it publicly.

You agree not to submit content that is:

• Defamatory, harassing, or knowingly false
• Discriminatory or aggressive in nature
• Someone else's confidential or trade secret information
• Off-topic, an advertisement, or unrelated to your actual experience with the company

5. Your job tracker

Your personal application tracker (saved jobs, stages, notes, and answers to tracker questions) is yours. Some of your tracker answers — the ones about your application/interview process, not your personal identity — can be optionally and anonymously shared to Company Insights to help other candidates; you control that, and it's asked once, not on every entry. Sharing to Company Insights never includes your name, your account, or your personal location.

6. Company information & AI-assisted summaries

Some company "About" descriptions on Verith are automatically generated by summarizing that company's own public website, and are clearly labeled as AI-generated and unverified. We do not fabricate details that aren't present in the source material. Any inaccuracy in a company's public-facing information can be reported using the "Suggest an edit" option on that company's page.

7. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, submits fraudulent or abusive content, or attempts to compromise the integrity of the Service — including submitting multiple reviews for the same company to distort ratings, or attempting to identify or expose an anonymous submitter.

8. Disclaimers

Verith is provided "as is." We don't verify the accuracy of every user-submitted review, salary figure, or interview account, and we don't guarantee that any job listing, company statistic, or AI-generated summary is complete or error-free. Use your own judgment. We are not a party to your employment relationship with any company, and nothing on Verith constitutes legal, financial, or career advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verith and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions you make based on content submitted by other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll post the update here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Verith after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
